Problems and Solutions

We have just found out that the stage (our first dance location) is being used on Friday 18th which was the date that we had planned to use it to film. We have discussed a new date and decided that because weather and lighting is not an issue we will set a new date; the first one when all four dancers are available.

We also have discovered that one of our crew is not available to film on Saturday 19th in the tunnel, so have to move that date to Saturday 9th November.

We are using the time now to tighten up our planning and complete our risk assessments for both locations.

Organising the Dancers

When we got in direct contact with our dancers, we arranged two dates to film the two dance locations which everyone could do:

1. Friday 18th (5pm - 7pm) on the stage

2. Saturday 19th (10am - 2pm) in the tunnel at Denham station

Today we looked at one of our chosen location for our dance shots; the stage. We explored the space we had on the stage and blocked out where we want our dancers to be and where we want our singer to be (see video) POST VIDEO

While watching music videos in our research we saw one that was filmed in a tunnel and really liked that idea so found a location nearby; here are our practice shots in our chosen location. It is also quite a practical location for us to film in as it is close by.

Location Idea

Cheryl Cole's 'Call My Name' gave me a few ideas and thoughts. I really liked the shots of Cheryl where she is seen in the tunnel which gave me the idea of potential shots I could use in my own music video. I liked the lighting in the tunnel as it is very atmospheric. I also had a thought that I could maybe have some of my dance shots in a tunnel as this might look quite effective.
